Project Manager (Building Construction) - UK

Our client is currently searching for a project manager to undertake an exciting opportunity Scotland wide.

This role will require you to be interfacing between senior management, site team and the client with a strong focus on the delivery of the job. As the project manager you will take responsibility of several sites with a combination of refurbishment and fit out projects alongside taking on new contracts. The ideal candidate will be following up on leads provided by the sales team so excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build a good rapport with clients is a must. As such this position would be well suited to someone who knows the industry well, excels in a client facing role and has strong ambitions to drive the professional development of both themselves and the company.

Successful applicants will be expected to undertake a wide range of responsibilities in this role. Responsibilities for this position will be varied and include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Managing a self-delivery programme within which you provided labour to deliver projects regionally.
· Managing move management, decommission and fit out projects.
· Producing cost plans in a timely and accurate manner
· Closing leads provided by the sales team and taking on new work
· Working individually and in a team on self-delivery moves and installations.
· Managing sub-contractors to facilitate project requirements.
· Implementing Project Management systems and methodology throughout the delivery process.
· Controlling both the site and financial elements of a project from engagement to completion.
· Attending regular Project Control Committee meetings alongside various senior representatives from different departments to review current projects and plan projects upcoming.
· Receiving and interpreting client’s project briefs.
· Conduct surveys of existing furniture and structural layouts on site.
· Attend meetings and training sessions.

Essential criteria:

• Project management experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience managing multiple site teams
• Must be fluent in English & Urdu or Punjabi
• Project Management: 1 year (preferred)
