Chef Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef Manager to lead a culinary team. As a Chef Manager, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation while ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute creative and diverse menus that meet the needs and preferences of our customers.
• Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits.
• Manage inventory levels and food costs, optimising profitability while minimising waste.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and facilities, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate catering events and special promotions.
• Stay current with industry trends and culinary techniques, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among staff members.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Chef Manager or similar leadership role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
• Proficiency in menu planning, cost control, and inventory management.
• Creative thinker with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification (preferred).
Starting salary £32,500 plus Benefits
